Clair Organics - Review

Never heard of Clair Organics? neither have I. I came to know of this brand through MIVVA, a beauty box which I subscribe Annually.

I've yet to use the soaps as I've some old products to clear.I love the natural scent (Snifffff).
I'm a sucker for handmade items. There's just something about handmade items which makes me go weak in the knees. It's all the effort, the hardwork, the passion and of course the LOVE which makes Handmade items Unique.

Clair Organics is founded by Louise Chu, a mother,an artisan who started out making skincare products using breast milk for her baby girl named 'Norra Claire", hence the name Claire Organics is born.

I bought my 1st Clair Organics products at Markets@JayaOne.

1) Calendula Soap (Anti Eczema,Baby Care) : This soap caught my eyes.I knew there were others but what drew me to purchase the soap were the key pointers "Anti Eczema and Baby Care. My lil Boo has dry skin on his scalp creating this massive snowstorm each time I dry his hair.Seriously who likes snowflakes falling from their head.

Scent : It is not heavily scented like commercial soaps. Smells like Cussons Imperial Leather.
Texture : Hard just like any other regular soap. It lathers well.Texture changes when you use the soap with water. It's much more softer with all the essential oils.Very moisturising. You can definetly tell the difference.Commercial Soaps can be harsh and drying.
Verdict : After using this soap I notice the dry skin on my Lil Boo's head begin to slowly disappear.Constant baths in the evenings (He loves his bathtime) the flakes soon vanished. Now he's flake free and his hair smells really good. This is his everyday bath soap .It's not only for his head, but also for his body (specially areas prone to rash like under the neck and works pretty well on the bum).Make sure to place soap on a dry surface for longer lasting usage.
Will I repurchase? : Definitely. This soap is Amazing.
Price: RM 15.00

2) BUG OFF : (Keeping bugs from little ones. Reduce itchiness and soothe insect bites)
I wanted to buy a baby friendly mozzy repelent since Grandma takes Lil Boo for her evening walks. I know Mosi-Guard is popular, but I'm afraid Lil Boo might get an allergy. I wanted a baby/kid friendly repellent, hence I bought BUG OFF
Scent : The whiff of Sesame Oil and Lemongrass, two strong scents which caught my sense of smell.I love the smell of Lemongrass and the Sesame Oil makes me want to lick the balm.
Yep! according to mummy, sesame oil repels mozzies.
Texture :  I was hoping for a softer texture but it's pretty hard. I had to run my fingers a couple of times to apply.
Verdict : I've seen mozzies trying to get close to Lil Boo,but they seem to fly off once they get close. So far so good, but If  the mozzies want to get aggressive, I'm sure they'll bite.Anyways, you can even use the balm as a soother for insects bites...Urgh insects, nasty nasty!!!
Will I repurchase? : If the texture was easier to apply why not:}
Price : RM 15.00

Tealight Candle : Free

Winning the Lucky Draw (For purchasing the goodies above)

 OMG,you don't know how thrilled I was.

Herbal Balm (Of your choice)

I Picked........

1) Happy Bum : (The Happy Bum Baby Balm is a great 2-in-1 for preventing and soothing nappy rash, healing sore bottoms)
I wanted to buy The Healing Balm for my Lil Boo's nappy rash, but they were all sold out at Markets. Since it says Healing Balm, automatically thought it will do the trick. Thank goodness I consulted Louise before I picked the balm. She recommended me Happy Bum for babies as The Healing Balm may not be suitable for babies. Thanks So Much:}.
Scent : Its got a lovely Tea Tree scent.
Texture : Very easy to apply. The texture is soft so it's easy to swatch and apply.
Verdict : It works,It works. I use this only during the day (Poops and pee's the most)
Problem with certain Nappy rash creams is the thick white mixture which kinda reminds me of Gypsum plaster. This cream works wonders.Lil Boo's bum is not red and blistery anymore.
I've got Pureen Nappy Cream to finish, but to be used only at nights.
Will I repurchase? : I've found awesomeness in a lil container:}.
Price : RM 15.00

2) SHEA BUTTER (Lip Balm with Organic Raw Honey)
Scent : Whiff of Menthol?
Texture : Soft.Easy to apply.
Verdict : The sides of my lips crack at times.I could be suffering from Angular Cheiltis
( inflammation of one or both the corners of the mouth) if not plain old chapped lips. So far nothing works. I've tried Nivea,Banana Boat,Neutrogena, even I can't remember. They don't do justice. Few hours or so it dries up and I have to reapply. I don't mind paying more for a good chap stick, but if it does no justice what am I suppose to do with it...
Anyways, my mother In Law travels to and fro to UK. The only thing I ask her to buy for me is chap sticks or balms for my lips.Currently, I'm using Vaseline Lip Therapy with Rose and Almond Oil.So far, the ones bought overseas works better then the ones sold at our drugstore....Then along came....
Clair's Organics Shea Butter Lip Balm (Lucky Draw).I thought I'll give it a try.I applied before going to bed and the next morning I can still feel the waxy-ness on my lips (Some dry up in Air Conditioned rooms).A Lip Balm which can leave my lips feeling moisturize gets a thumbs up.
Will I Repurchase? : Yes
RM : 12.00

I can't wait for her Christmas Soaps (Lovely Presents). 15% of their sales will be donated to help less fortunate kids. Now don't you want to be charitable during Xmas Time?.Sharing is Caring People...

Super Haulin - Beauty,Clothes,Victoria's Secret,Bath&BodyWorks e.t.c

When I'm back in Tawau, the only thing I do is go online or watch the idiot box (Been mentioning that a quadrillion times)..I surf the net for hours and it's bad. I tend to find lot of interesting stuff online and worst I wanna buy emm all . I've bought a lot of stuff, but I've toned down now.

I have compiled items which I've bought online and since I'm back in KL, I did some shopping. Nothing major,just some essential items:}

Shall I Start?....
Online Shopping at Meletops

I got them online from Meletops Online Store.I did a write up on the 12/3/2013 and another on the 15/3/2013 for Bath&BodyWorks.

Bath and BodyWorks Body Mist ( RM 35)
Visit Meletops Online Store on FB. Her name is Miss Sara.
I think buying online is cheaper and besides I can't get Limited Edition Sprays or certain scents from our VS boutique in KL/PJ and obviously there's no BBW in Malaysia.

Tropicana Mall : Sasa

4 for RM 10.00
Color Combos and the lil heart shapped one is Sasatinie. There's no name for the colors. I love nail polishes, but I wouldn't splurge so much on it:}.

One Utama : Royal Sporting House
These Sandals were a darn good buy. It was going for RM 56.90, but since it was the last pair and it fits be quite well these babies were going for RM 18.00

Paradigm Mall : Kaison RM 11.90
I needed a fake plant for my bathroom. Friends suggested live plants, but who's going to water the plant for me if I'm away??..So,I opted for this pretty water canister flower.

Citta Mall : VitaCare Sale

These Revlon were going for RM 5 each. I just had to grab it.
Left to right : 918 Silver Ash,907 Steel-her Heart,610-Charismatic

These were worth the purchase..I don't remember the actual Retail price, but the sales price were
Lipsticks (SilkyGirl) : RM 8 (Warm Berry and Sporty Pink)
Revlon LipGloss : RM 15
Eyeliner (SilkyGirl) : RM 8 ( 2 Candy Pink & 1 Ocean Blue)
I'm keeping for swaps.

Sri Hartamas: Publika, Kaleidoscope
RM 19.00
Kaleidoscope at Publika sells quite alot of whimsical items. From notepads, badges, shoes, vintage clothing, jewellery just to name a few. I heard of bisou bon-bon from Vanity Trove (BeautyBox). Sadly I didn't get to try their First Aid Salve which is very popular.Everything is handmade and ole ye natural. They have lip balm, body scrub, shaving oil just to name a few..I bought the sleep balm coz sometimes I have trouble sleeping.Does it work?So far so good, either that I've been sleeping late.I'm not a big fan of Lavender, but somehow I'm getting quite use to the scent..:}..Yush!!
Here's the link to the blogshop : Bisou

One Utama : Jusco & British India.

I needed Maternity pants, the ones with the flatter waistline (does it make sense) . I got some tops as well for only RM 30 at Jusco...A Blue and a Pink

British India was having a massive clearance. It's not like everything is cheap even though the items were given discounts..Baaah...but I manage to grab two really good pants for a pretty good deal..
Where Everyone is Beautiful Quarter Pants : RM 19.00
British India Cotton Long Pants : RM 200ish less 70%

Finally....

I got a new MP4 player. My old 1GB Creative MP3 player died on me after 9yrs.I know it's not an Ipod or whatever Apple product.I'm not a follower. I'm happy with my new Toy and :} it's a Gift from Hubby..

Both my friends got me 2 pairs of Maternity pants from 9 months..LOL..Spanks darlings Stef n BinBin

Beauty Swap M'sia->US<-M'sia

Swap swap swap finally (those who follow my blog) .Well I went ahead and did a swap with a wonderful lady named Ramya who’s living in Chicago (Which I met on YouTube and I mentioned her in one of my post). I wanted beauty items from the dollar tree (eye shadow, lotion, body splash, lipglosses e.t.c) and for her, beauty products which are not available in the US. I initiated the swap plus a given budget (I blew the budget) and a simple rule.... "No high end products." She gave me a list of products she wanted to try and I did the same. We both had tanned skin which made buying products simple.

I bought beauty items from Daiso . Pretty amazing beauty products I must say. Love their liquid eyeliner, lip glosses, nail polishes, basically whatever I find amusing. Other brands include Elianto, Silkygirl, Etude (A Korean brand which is rather expensive), some items from Sasa and some from the drugstore. She made a video of the items which she received and also items which she bought for me. Thanks so much.

 I've received my package, but I can only enjoy the goodies in December. I pray that nothing was stolen. It was opened for inspection. Although it’s just makeup items, sometimes these “people” if they like what they see, they’ll pocket it (Slimeballs).Cross my fingers and hope everything is OKAY!...Can't wait for December,Christmas Time:}

Compact and bubble wrapped
